In Toronto at the moment. It's been a restless day. We're having a wonderful time with friends (the Elliots) and family (our littlest bro who's not so little anymore). More on that another time. What's really weighing on our minds and hearts are further away. News of 2 passings today, within a space of 12 hours. Death is always unexpected, no matter how much you think you are ready for it. We ache for the families and loved ones who are left to grieve and mourn the losses.
...flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable...For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory?"
~ 1 Corinthians 15:50, 54
